Admission committees usually receive thousands of application resumes, and they can’t check them all by themselves. They often use software tools to see relevant keywords in various documents. It’s a good idea to check out your medical university’s programmes and use keywords from there. Especially if you want to study abroad, doing this would increase your chance of being accepted.
For example, if you want to study dentistry, don’t forget to write a sentence about it in a personal profile section.
Personal Profile
Describe yourself in a couple of concise sentences.
Write about your qualities and why you want to study your desired course at that medical university. Every medical school admissions officer needs to know that you are motivated.
For example, mention that you are a quick learner, have excellent attention to detail and are a great team player.
Certificates
Certificates show that you are committed to studying medicine.
For example, you might have participated and studied in a course dedicated to human anatomy during the summer break. You could attach a certificate from an event like that to your med school application resume!
Many universities also consider having a language certificate a big advantage.
Languages
This section is pretty self-explanatory. And as I’ve said before, having a language certificate helps with getting accepted into a university.
That being said, usually, having a language certificate isn’t necessary. Many European universities have language tests, and you can easily ace them.

It also shows your ability to work with others and that you’ve got what it takes to become a doctor. Doctors and other medical practitioners often tend to patients in bad conditions, so you must be empathetic and calm.
Education
In this section, describe where and what you’ve been learning. Highlight the coursework you’ve completed. You can also add various test scores, honours, awards, achievements, grants, scholarships, or something else to show your academic success.
Pro tip: You can include your ranking in your class. For example, you could say: “I graduated in the top 10% of my class.”
Contact me section
Depending on the style of your CV, your contact information might be located in a header underneath your name or its own section.
Here you should leave your phone number, e-mail address and possibly a link to an account on a social media like LinkedIn. It is also very unusual for a medical student to have a website or a blog; if you do, attach it. Believe me, the admission committee will be very interested.
Tip: You won’t always be contacted straight away. So leave your contact information at the bottom of the resume so that it could be seen more easily.

Keep your CV clean and simple. Use bullet points and be consistent with the style of the resume.
For normal texts, fonts should be 11-12 pixels.
